1 C. coconut oil
½ C. sugar
½ of a large cucumber
mint extract (located in the baking aisle near the spices)
1 tbs. olive oil
4-5 4 oz. Jelly jars

Cucumber Mint Body Scrub

Directions –

  1. Using a small paring knife cut the cucumber into smaller chunks and puree in a blender or food processor until it is small chunks and set aside.
  2. In a medium size bowl, combine the coconut oil, sugar, cucumber chunks, olive oil and 1-2 drops of mint extract (a lot goes a long way) and mix well.
  3. Add the scrub to your 4 oz. Jelly jars.
  4. Print and cut out the labels and place on the lid; the metal ring will hold the label in place.

**For a more rustic look, you could also use a hole puncher to punch a hole in the top of the label – look through with twine and tie around the lid.

– Makes 4-5 4 oz. Jelly jars. The recipe can also be made smaller or larger depending on how much you would like to make.

  21. I must confess, up until a couple of months ago I wasn’t much of a body scrub girl. But lately I can’t seem to get enough of them. Love the way my skin feels after I use them, and I’ve even found that if I have a sunburn and use a body scrub the burn will be gone the next morning. Can’t wait to try this.

  40. nicole says:

Very new 2 homemade scrubs. Just finished making this. Love the creamy consistency & the look. The sugar/oil proportions were very different from others ive made, but the soft skin was worth it. Had 2 use mint leaves (~6) since i had no oil. Used 1/2 cucumber but i dont smell much other than coconut. Wish i knew a more objective volume measurement for that. Perhaps the scent will get stronger with time. I’m shocked this doesnt require refrigeration b/c i’ve read that any recipe with water will require a preservative or refrigeration. I wish more people would post about their experience with this recipe rather than their promotions. Thanks 4 a gr8 recipe.

  41. I love cucumber and mint together, and I’ve been playing around with DIY bath products this year, so I”m pinning this to try out. It looks lovely!
