How to Make Cheesy Bacon Potatoes with Ranch
There are three ingredients in my house that can always pull off a successful recipe. Bacon? Yes. Cheese? Yes. Ranch? Yes. All in one recipe? Yes, please!! This is a newer recipe that I’ve started making and it gets made quite often. If you have a family gathering coming up, Cheesy Bacon Potatoes with Ranch would be great to take! Everyone will love it and be asking for the recipe. This takes about an hour and a half total time to bake and prep which makes it on the easier side of some recipes. You can basically make this in any size pan that you need. I have used a 9X13 and 9X9 as well. The measurements below are where we made it for only 4 people. You can adjust this to feed more and also to your liking of each ingredient. Check this recipe out, add it to your menu, and let me know how your family enjoys it!
1 Medium Sized Baking Potato Per Person
1 Pound Bacon
1 Packet of Hidden Valley Ranch (already mixed)
Shredded Cheese (We use Colby Monterrey Jack Cheese Blend)
Pre-heat Oven to 400F
Wash Potatoes and cut into 1/4 – 1/2 cubes
Slice bacon into bite sized pieces
Place potatoes into pan
Sprinkle 2 teaspoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon black pepper on the potatoes
Mix lightly and spread seasoning around potatoes
Top with 2 tablespoons of butter cut into smaller pieces
Cover pan with tin foil
On separate pan place bacon in even layer and place in oven
Bake potatoes for 1 hour and bacon until crispy (Bacon may get done before potatoes depending on how you like your bacon!)
Remove tin foil and add the layer of cooked bacon, the layer of 8 ounces of ranch, and the layer of cheese (I used around 8 ounces of cheese)
Place back into the oven and bake until cheese is bubbly
Allow to sit for a few minutes and then serve!
